Thida Angkor Driver Privacy & Data Security Policy

This policy explains how Thida Angkor (TDA) collects and protects your personal data when you use Thida Angkor App services through the TDA DRIVER APP. We respect your privacy and safeguard your personal data according to the highest security standards.

Collection of Personal Data

“Personal Data” refers to any information that can be used to identify a user. Thida Angkor App (TDA) requests only the necessary data to provide services, such as:
• Identification card and phone number
• Bank account number
• Location (GPS) (used for transport services and safety)
• Usage history of the TDA App
• Device information (phone model, IP address, or device ID)
• User feedback and ratings
This data is collected directly via the TDA App or through operations conducted within the service. Thida Angkor may request, use, display, or process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice with your consent or as required by law, including:
• Collecting important documents to comply with legal obligations.
• Facilitating agreements between the company and service users.
Personal data collection may be conducted through user forms or registration forms (e.g., name, contact information, and identification as required), either in-app or on physical documents. The app may use third-party services such as Google Maps SDK, One Signal Notifications, and Firebase to provide various functionalities. Data collected via these networks is used solely for technical purposes and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. For traffic safety and compliance with Cambodian law, drivers may be required to provide additional documents, such as driving license information, vehicle information, technical inspection results, and business permits.

Use of Location Data

The TDA DRIVER APP collects GPS location data for the following clear purposes:
1. Identify the locations of customers and drivers to provide accurate transport services.
2. Display the driver’s location to customers during active trips (via Google Maps).
3. Enhance safety, such as tracking trips or providing assistance in emergencies.
4. The TDA App system may collect location data while the application is in use (Foreground Location) and while running in the background (Background Location) to ensure continuous connectivity between drivers and passengers.
5. Location data will not be shared with third parties, except as required by courts or legal authorities under Cambodian law.
6. Users can enable or disable location access in their device settings.
• Background location tracking is only active during ongoing trips and will be disabled once trips are completed.
• Location used solely for service provision and safety, and not for marketing or research purposes.

Purpose of Data Use

Data requested by Thida Angkor, such as phone numbers or identification cards, is used to provide efficient and secure transport services (Taxi Meter) for both passengers and drivers. This includes verifying driver information and tracking locations via Google Maps during trips. Thida Angkor may request users’ names and bank account information to facilitate payments for services rendered and other benefits as incentives for using the service. Data is also used to provide technical support, manage accounts, and improve user experience.

Sensitive Data

For drivers, providing certain personal identification information is essential to ensure passenger safety, which is Thida Angkor’s primary responsibility. This sensitive information is stored securely within the TDA App. During service booking or ride requests, the driver’s name, photo, phone number, and GPS location are shared with the passenger to facilitate communication, track progress, and manage any deviations from expected routes. This information is only visible during the trip and is automatically deleted after the trip, with only the transaction number and date retained.

Data Sharing

Thida Angkor does not share personal data with third parties, nor sell or transfer it for commercial purposes. Exceptions apply only as required by law or court orders under Cambodian law.

Data Security

We employ digital security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access. SSL/TLS and encryption are used to secure data transmission.
Our website and API services use secure HTTPS protocols to ensure safe data transfer between users and servers. However, no online system is 100% secure, so users are encouraged to protect their personal information. Technical and administrative measures are implemented to prevent unauthorized access or theft of your data. Thida Angkor is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and proper use of users’ personal information for service purposes only.

User Rights

Users may request:
• Access or modification of personal data (name, phone number, address, bank information)
• Account or personal data deletion by sending a formal request to info@thidaangkor.com. Some data (e.g., trip history or financial transactions) may be retained as legally required for safety and compliance purposes.

Policy Updates

If Thida Angkor updates this policy, notifications will be provided via the TDA App, social media, or the official website to ensure users are promptly informed. Users are encouraged to review this policy regularly to stay updated on any changes.

Governing Law

This policy complies with the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the requirements of the Google Play Policy (User Data Policy & Location Access).
