Account and Data Deletion Policy

Overview

Thida Angkor (TDA) App provides users (Drivers and Passengers) with the right to request the closure of their account and deletion of their personal data to ensure full control over personal information and data security. Once a deletion request is submitted, all delectable data will be permanently removed within 30 business days. Certain information required for financial transactions, system security, or legal compliance will be temporarily retained and automatically deleted after the legally required retention period. Thida Angkor App is committed to handling user data in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws and regional data protection regulations.

Data that can be deleted

Users (Drivers or Passengers) have the right to request the removal of certain personal data from the Thida Angkor App system, including:

• Full name, profile photo, address, and phone number
• Email address and login credentials
• Contact history or app usage history
• Non-financial data unrelated to payment transactions
Note: Once this data is deleted, users will no longer be able to access or reactivate their previous account. Any ride history or ratings linked to the deleted account will also be permanently removed.

Data that cannot be immediately deleted

Some information must be retained for legal, financial, or administrative purposes, such as:

• Records of financial transactions (payments, transfers, withdrawals, deposits)
• TDA Wallet transaction history (money sent or received)
• Security and system audit logs for legal verification
This information is stored for 6 months to 1 year, or as required by law, and will be automatically deleted once the retention period has expired.

Full Data Deletion Eligibility

Users may request complete data deletion under the following circumstances:

• Official closure of their Thida Angkor App account
• Permanent discontinuation of all Thida Angkor App services
• Upon withdrawal of consent for data processing (if applicable)

In-App Data Deletion Option

Thida Angkor App provides users with the ability to request account and data deletion directly from within the application.

Users can initiate the deletion process by navigating to Settings → Request Delete Account. 
Once the request is submitted, the same verification and confirmation steps will apply as with email requests.
Thida Angkor App will verify the user’s identity, confirm account ownership, and proceed with the deletion process within 30 business days.

Note: After a deletion request is submitted, the user’s account will be immediately marked as inactive and cannot be accessed or used while the deletion process is being completed. Once deletion is finalized, all delectable data will be permanently removed, and the account cannot be reactivated.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Thida Angkor App uses limited third-party services to provide essential app features and improve user experience. These include:

- Google Maps – for map and location-based services
- Firebase – for authentication, data storage, and analytics
- One Signal – for push notifications and communication

If any personal data is processed through these third-party services, it is handled according to each provider’s privacy and data protection policies.
Thida Angkor App does not share or sell user data to any other third parties. In the event of a user’s data deletion request, Thida Angkor App will coordinate with these providers to ensure that any associated user data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with their respective retention policies.
Thida Angkor App ensures that all integrated third-party partners comply with recognized data protection and privacy standards, including Google Privacy Policy and One Signal Privacy Policy requirements.

Security and Data Protection

Thida Angkor App implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect user data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. All retained data is securely stored and access is strictly limited to authorized personnel only.

Data Deletion Rights and Procedures

Users have the right to request deletion of their personal data at any time.
To do so, users can submit a written request via email to: info@thidaangkor.com
Upon receiving the request, Thida Angkor App will: 1. Verify the user’s identity to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.
2. Confirm account ownership and process the deletion within 30 business days.
3. Permanently close the account within no more than 30 days after confirmation.

Thida Angkor App also reserves the right to:
• Delete anonymous or inactive accounts identified within the system.
• Retain and secure any data related to financial transactions or system security as required by law.
Such retained data will be automatically deleted after the mandatory retention period expires.
